Quartex Wins Prestigious Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Award
October 28, 2013
CSE Games is very proud to announce that our latest release Quartex has been awarded the prestigious Oppenheim Toy Portfolio 2013 Gold Seal Best Toy Award. Quartex won the Gold Seal in the “Later School Years” category. Other notable games in the category include Hasbro’s Bop It Tetris, Spin Master’s Head Bandz Act Up, and Gamewright’s Iota.
The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio is an independent American organization which has been testing, reviewing and recommending toys and games since 1989. The annual list is heavily relied upon by parents and families throughout the year, especially at gift-giving times. Educator, parent and kid testing goes into each product considered for an Oppenheim Award.
Quartex is an easy-to-learn abstract strategy tile game for the whole family. Play your tiles by matching and placing them beside other tiles already in play. If your tile completes a four-corner shape, you earn a point token of that color. But as the number of tokens collected increases, their value decreases. Quartex is for 2-5 players, ages 8 and up.
This is the second major award for Quartex. Earlier this year, Quartex received the “Recommended by American Mensa” designation.
Developed by Toronto-native Tim W. K. Brown, Quartex is available at Toys R Us, Go Games and many other fine retailers across Canada.
