Two of CSE’s Games Awarded Highest Rating from Canadian Toy Testing Council

November 5, 2013

CanToyTestingCouncilOTTAWA, ON – CSE Games is proud to announce that two of our products have made it to the Canadian Toy Testing Council’s 2014 Toy Report.

Both NHL Fastrack and Quartex received a 3-Star rating – the highest rating which “goes to toys that are distinguished by excellence in design, function, safety, durability, and play value.”

NHL Fastrack NHL Fastrack (co-published with Blue Orange Games) is an all-new take on table hockey. Described as “finger hockey” by some, Fastrack is a game of non-stop action, accuracy and speed. Use the elastic cord to shoot the pucks through the opening at center ice. Get all 10 pucks on your opponent’s side and you win the period. Best two out of three periods wins the game.

Quartex-box-comp-bilingual-medresQuartex is a great new abstract strategy tile game for the whole family. Play your tiles by matching and placing them beside other tiles already in play. If your tile completes a four-corner shape, you earn a point token of that color. But remember – as the number of tokens collected increases, their value decreases. Because players decide where tiles are placed, the shape of every game of Quartex is unique. If you’re ready to outsmart the competition in this challenging game of shape-building, grab a few friends and enter the Quartex!

The Canadian Toy Testing Council’s 2014 Toy Report was released this afternoon at the Centurion Conference and Event Center (170 Colonnade Road S.) in Ottawa, ON.

ABOUT THE CANADIAN TOY TESTING COUNCIL

Since 1952, the Canadian Toy Testing Council (CTTC) has been assessing toys on the basis of design, function, durability and play value, to help parents choose good toys. We do this by putting toys right into the hands of children themselves.

Every year, parents look to the Canadian Toy Testing Council (CTTC) and the TOY REPORT for guidance on the best toys for children. The TOY REPORT is launched annually at the CTTC Media Conference and all testing results are posted to the CTTC website. This means that parents in Canada — and around the world — have access to our results. The media, too, relies on CTTC expertise when reporting on stories related to toys.
